What is the Vietnamese equivalent of Uber?
Vietnamese equivalent of Uber ride-hailing app?
Okay, so like, the "Uber" of Vietnam? That's tricky.
Basically, Grab ate Uber's lunch in Southeast Asia back in 2018. Remember that? Seems like forever ago.
So yeah, now Grab is pretty much the alternative in Vietnam. Think of it as, you know, "the ride-hailing app." ????????
Remember being in Ho Chi Minh City last August? (Or was it July? Ah, my memory...) Trying to figure out transport. I was so confused.
I think I paid 80,000 VND for a Grab motorbike ride once. Cheap as chips! Saved my life.
Seriously, Grab is everywhere there. From what I saw, everyone uses it. Makes life so much easier, I tell ya. ????
What is the ride share service in Vietnam?
Grab. Vietnam. Dominates. Like, totally.
GrabBike. So convenient. Hot and humid? Bike's the way.
Food delivery too. GrabFood. Used it yesterday. Banh mi. So good.
Car service. GrabCar. Airport runs. Better than a taxi. Think so anyway.
Oh, groceries. GrabMart. Forgot milk this morning. Saved me.
Used it in Hanoi. And Da Nang. Same app. Works everywhere. Useful.
- Grab app. The one to use.
- Bikes. Cars. Food. Groceries. All in one.
- Cheaper than taxis. I think.
- Even rent scooters through Grab.
- Easy to pay. Linked to my card.
- Gotta remember cash for tips though. Drivers appreciate it.
- Need data. Works on wifi too, at the hotel. But need data on the go.
- Download it before you go. Trust me.
GrabCar for airport. Last week. Smooth. No haggling. Fixed price.
Banh xeo. That's next. GrabFood. Gotta try it. Saw it on a food blog.
So many street food options. Overwhelming. Grab helps. Seriously.
- Use the map. So helpful. Pinpoint your location.
- Pre-book rides. Especially airport.
- Check reviews. For restaurants. Important.
- Multiple stops. Can do that. Grab is good.
Phở. Had that twice already this week. Addicted.
What is the most popular ride service?
Dark outside. Streetlights blur. Thinking about Uber again. 131 million… so many people. Every month.
Scrolling… mindlessly. 70 countries. They’re everywhere. Like… a shadow.
Food delivery now too. And packages. Even freight. It’s… a lot. Remember when it was just rides?
- 131 million monthly active users (2024)
- Operates in 70 countries
- Ride sharing
- Food delivery (Uber Eats)
- Package delivery
- Freight transport
Remember… used to take the bus. Now… everyone’s on their phones. Waiting. For a ride. It’s changed things. Everything. Not sure if it’s better. Just… different. Lost something maybe. Connection? Or just… peace. Streetlights… still blurred.
