What country launched the first train service, historically?
Okay, so, if I remember right...
England launched the first train service. It's true.
The Stockton and Darlington Railway, like, the very first public railway in the world, started running in 1825. Imagine that.
I actually visited Beamish Museum near Durham (somethin' like 2 summers ago, August maybe?) and they had a replica of "Locomotion No. 1".
That was the name, built by some guy called George Stephenson. It's a steam engine. So coool to see it in life size.
The whole thing about coal, steam, and travel! I love it. Made in England really.
*Typo edit: "So cool to see it in life size."
