Which motor is used in hyperloop?

Okay, so the big question is: what kind of motor powers a Hyperloop? Well, from what I've gathered, they're using a linear induction motor. Now, I'm no engineer, but I did a little digging. The way it works is pretty fascinating!

You know, I actually remember reading an article about how they're even building a test track for this stuff over at EPFL. That's pretty cool, right?

But honestly, and maybe this is just me being a bit of a pessimist, but I'm still a little skeptical about the whole Hyperloop thing being actually practical. I mean, will it ever really take off? But I will say, testing that linear induction motor is definitely a smart move. I mean, think about it, if they can really nail down that motor technology, then at least one part of this crazy dream might just become a reality. And hey, who knows?
