Which of the following is not a benefit of computer networks?
Computer networks offer numerous benefits, but increased individual processing speed isn't one of them. Networked computers share resources; a single machine's processing power remains unchanged. Therefore, faster processing speed is incorrect.
What is NOT a benefit of computer networks?
Networking computers doesn’t make a single computer run faster. It lets them talk faster, share files, stuff like that.
My old desktop, back in 2010, was slow as molasses. Connecting it to our home network in our apartment on Elm Street didn’t magically make it quicker at opening Photoshop. That took ages.
Faster processing speed is internal to the computer itself. Network speed is how fast it communicates externally. Two different things. I upgraded the RAM on that old desktop (cost me like, $60 at Best Buy on 15th July) and that made a difference. Not the network.
Network benefits? Sharing files, printers, internet access…speeding up individual computer processing? Nope.
