Who invented the first electric toy train and when was it created?

Okay, so you want my take on the electric toy train? Alright, hold on tight...

Joshua Lionel Cowen, inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame (NIHF), is credited with inventing the electric toy train. That's the official word, yeah?

But... how do I explain this?

See, my grandpa, bless his heart, swore his Uncle Morty, back in Brooklyn, had somethin' similiar first. He always claimed it was "before the official one." Did he? Dunno for sure! Family lore.

Anyway, this Cowen guy... he gets the credit.

NIHF says Cowen, so Cowen it is. Electric toy train guy. That’s who “invented” it I guess.

Always thought there was more to the story, y'know? Like, did someone else have a similar idea brewing at the same time? History is messy.

Wish I could ask Grandpa about Uncle Morty's train again. Memories fade, don't they? But hey, at least we have electric toy trains today, no?
