Can You Book Excess Baggage After Web Check-In?

Whether you need extra space for souvenirs, bulky items, or sporting equipment, booking excess baggage is essential for a stress-free journey. While web check-in offers convenience, it's important to know your options if you require additional baggage space.

Multiple Booking Options:

For your convenience, you have several options for booking excess baggage:

• Online Pre-Purchase: During web check-in, check if the option to pre-purchase excess baggage is available. This allows you to secure extra space and pay in advance, saving you time at the airport.

• Phone Call: You can also contact the airline directly by phone to arrange excess baggage. The airline will provide you with instructions and confirm your booking.

• Airport Counter: At the airport check-in counter, you can add excess baggage to your reservation. However, note that prices may be higher at the airport, and availability may be limited.

Benefits of Booking Excess Baggage:

Booking excess baggage offers several advantages:

• Avoids Overweight Fees: Exceeding the standard baggage allowance can result in hefty overweight fees. Booking excess baggage upfront ensures you comply with airline regulations and prevents unpleasant surprises at the airport.

• Peace of Mind: Knowing that all your luggage is accounted for gives you peace of mind and eliminates the stress of last-minute arrangements.

• Convenience: Pre-purchasing excess baggage online allows you to check in smoothly and skip the queues at the airport counter.

Note:

• Excess baggage allowance and pricing vary between airlines, so it's always advisable to check with your carrier for specific details.

• It's recommended to book excess baggage as early as possible, especially during peak travel periods, to secure availability.

• Ensure you have a valid payment method to complete the booking process.

By following these simple steps, you can ensure a seamless and worry-free journey, even if you need additional baggage space.
