Creating a New Shopee Account with an Existing Number: Is it Possible?

Shopee is a popular e-commerce platform that requires users to create an account to make purchases. To ensure account security and prevent fraud, Shopee has implemented strict guidelines regarding account creation, including the use of unique mobile numbers and email addresses.

Can You Create a New Shopee Account with the Same Number?

The answer is a resounding no. Each Shopee account is linked to a single mobile number. If you attempt to register a new account with a number that is already associated with an existing account, the registration process will fail.

Consequences of Using the Same Number

Attempting to create a new account with an existing number is not only futile but can also lead to account suspension or termination. Shopee has measures in place to detect and prevent multiple accounts linked to the same number.

Retrieving a Lost Password

If you have forgotten the password to your existing Shopee account, you can retrieve it by following the "Forgot Password" link on the login page. You will be prompted to enter your registered mobile number or email address to receive a password reset link.

Account Security

The use of unique mobile numbers for each Shopee account is an important security measure. It prevents unauthorized access to accounts, reduces the risk of phishing attacks, and ensures the integrity of the platform.

Conclusion

To maintain the security and integrity of the Shopee platform, users are required to create new accounts using unique mobile numbers. Attempting to register a new account with an existing number will result in failure. If you have forgotten the password to your existing account, you can retrieve it using the "Forgot Password" link. By adhering to these guidelines, users can ensure the安全 of their Shopee accounts and enjoy a seamless shopping experience.
