Thailand Extends Visa-Free Stay to 60 Days for 93 Countries

Effective July 15, 2024, Thailand is implementing a significant change to its visa regulations, allowing visa-exempt travelers from 93 countries to stay for up to 60 days without having to apply for a visa.

Previously, visa-exempt visitors were granted a 30-day stay upon arrival. However, in a bid to boost tourism and enhance the visitor experience, the Thai government has decided to double the duration of the visa-free period.

This move is expected to attract a wider range of tourists and encourage them to explore Thailand's vibrant cities, picturesque beaches, and rich cultural heritage for a longer period of time.

The list of 93 countries that will benefit from the extended visa-free stay includes:

• Canada
• Australia
• New Zealand
• Japan
• South Korea
• Taiwan
• Singapore
• Malaysia
• Indonesia
• Philippines

This change will significantly streamline the entry process for travelers from eligible countries, allowing them to enjoy the beauty and hospitality of Thailand without the need for lengthy visa applications or additional fees.
