Can I use GPay with a different number?

Is it seriously true that I can't use GPay with a different number? Ugh, that's so frustrating! So, let me get this straight… I can't just link my bank account to a new GPay account on a different phone? Seriously?! What a bummer. I was really hoping to use a separate work phone and, you know, keep my personal stuff, like, personal. Keep it all separate and organized. You know what I mean?

It's just… annoying. Why do they tie it so tightly to one single phone number and email? I mean, yeah, okay, security and all that jazz, I get it. But come on! It really limits things, you know? Like, what if my phone breaks? Or I get a new one? It's not like I'm trying to do anything shady! Remember that time I lost my phone at that concert? It was a nightmare getting everything switched over. It makes me hesitant to even consider getting a new number. It's just such a hassle. So much for convenience, right?
