Can two people share an Uber?

Okay, so, can two people share an Uber? Absolutely! I do it all the time with my friend Sarah. We’re both headed downtown, why not split the cost, right? It’s way cheaper than taking two separate rides. It’s called UberX Share, and it’s pretty slick how it works. They kind of optimize the route so it picks up other people going in the same general direction…which, sometimes, can add a little time to the trip, but honestly? I’ve saved so much money doing it, it’s worth it. Plus, think about the drivers! It keeps them busier, you know? Less time hanging around waiting for the next fare. Isn’t that great? Like, I remember one time Sarah and I were going to this concert, and we shared an Uber with this really cool couple who were also going! We chatted the whole way there.
