Can you describe your daily routine in simple past tense?

The morning began early, around six. After waking, I refreshed myself and scattered rice for the birds that visited. Watching them flit about for a few moments was a small joy. Then, turning away from the peaceful scene, I prepared myself for the days lectures at college.

Yesterday was a typical day. The morning began early, around six o’clock. After I woke, I showered and quickly prepared breakfast. I scattered a handful of rice on the patio for the birds; it always amused me to watch them squabble over the meager offering. Their frantic fluttering provided a short, peaceful interlude before the day’s demands took over. Then, I traded my comfortable pajamas for more formal attire and prepared for my college lectures. The bus ride was crowded, as usual, but I managed to snag a seat and spent the journey catching up on some reading. Lectures themselves were fairly standard; Professor Davies’ history lesson proved particularly engaging, although I struggled slightly with the subsequent economics lecture. After college, I grabbed a quick lunch at the campus cafeteria – a rather bland tuna sandwich, I recall – before heading to the library to work on my essay. The afternoon blurred into a haze of research and note-taking, punctuated only by the occasional break for coffee. Finally, around six, I made my way home, exhausted but satisfied with a productive day. Dinner was simple: pasta with tomato sauce. I spent the evening relaxing, watching a bit of television before drifting off to sleep, ready for another day of lectures and the cheerful chaos of the morning birds.
