Can you still get visa on arrival in Vietnam?
Vietnam Visa on Arrival Still Available?
Ugh, Vietnam visa on arrival? So confusing. I tried to get one last July, flying in from Bangkok. It was a total headache.
Turns out, my Canadian passport was on the eligible list. Whew. But the whole process felt more complicated than expected.
Lots of paperwork. Long lines. Cost me around $50 USD if I remember correctly. And, obviously the flights and accommodation, too!
The list of eligible countries is lengthy, though. Andorra, Argentina, Australia...it goes on forever. Check the Vietnamese embassy website for the most up-to-date info. It changed a lot!
Honestly, I'd recommend checking the official sources before you go. My experience was just one instance. Better safe than sorry, right?
