Okay, so you’re wondering if your phone can still get calls when it’s, you know, totally off off? Like, kaput, nada, zip?

Well, short answer: nope. Think about it – a phone basically needs to be awake and listening, right? It has to be connected to the cell towers to even know someone’s trying to reach you. So, if your phone’s powered down, battery’s dead, or you’re trekking through the wilderness with no signal… that call is going straight to voicemail, assuming you even have voicemail set up.

And here’s the thing, even that missed call notification? It’s not a sure thing. Sometimes those things just…vanish into the digital ether. Remember that time I was waiting for a super important call back about a job interview? My phone died right before they were supposed to call, and when I finally charged it…nothing! No missed call, no voicemail. Ugh, I was so stressed!
