How to travel Vietnam without a car? Transportation options?

Vietnam’s amazing, car-free travel? Totally doable.

Trains are great for long hauls. I took one from Hanoi to Hue (14th July) – scenic, comfortable, and cheap (about $20).

Buses? Everywhere. Local buses are crowded but an experience. Tourist buses are more comfortable. I took a sleeper bus from Hue to Hoi An (16th July), cost around $10.

Motorbikes? Popular. You can rent them easily. I was a bit nervous, so stuck to bicycles in Hoi An. Easy to rent, explored the Old Town (17th July). Cost about $2 for the day.

Boats. Ha Long Bay (20th July) – incredible. So many boat tours to choose from. Mine was a two day/one night cruise, about $60. Worth every penny. Also took a small boat trip on the Thu Bon River near Hoi An.

So, ditch the car. Vietnam has got you covered.
