Do all stores accept Tap to Pay?
Ugh, Tap to Pay, right? Do all stores take it? Wishful thinking, my friend. Wishful thinking. I learned that the hard way, let me tell you. Remember that time I was starving after that killer hike, and the only place open was this tiny deli? No Tap to Pay. Had to rummage through my bag for cash, felt like a total dinosaur. Seriously embarrassing.
So, no, it's not everywhere yet. It's popping up in lots of places, though. I've used it at, like, my usual supermarket, a couple of fancy restaurants (showing off a little, I know!), and even that cute little bookstore downtown. But then there's that gas station I always go to – nope, cash only. Go figure. They seem to be behind the times.
It’s really hit or miss, you know? Pharmacies are pretty good about it, from what I’ve seen, and clothing stores are getting on board too. I think beauty shops are more up to date than I thought, I've used it at a few. But it’s definitely not universal. You just never know until you try! Seriously, always check before you get to the checkout. Otherwise, it's that awkward 'oops, I don't have cash' moment. Been there, done that, got the T-shirt…or rather, didn't, because I couldn't pay for it with Tap to Pay. Learn from my mistakes!
