Do trains have charging ports?
Do trains have charging ports? Finding outlets on trains explained.
Okay, so you wanna know 'bout charging your phone on trains? Let me tell you, it's kinda hit or miss, right?
Yeah, trains often have charging ports. It's usually the AC kind.
Okay, so India is kinda weird about this. Homes use 240V AC, I think, BUT sometimes they put 110V AC sockets in trains. WHY? Beats me.
I was on a train from Jaipur to Delhi, I think it was maybe last October, and yup, there were sockets. They worked...mostly.
Remember to always have a powerbank, cause you know, things never work exactly how you expect them to. Trust me. You'll thank me later.
Are there charging ports on via rail?
Yeah, VIA Rail has power outlets. For charging my eReader, mostly. Or my phone, desperately.
Why am I even awake?
- Located at most seats: Usually near the floor. Always awkward to reach.
- Voltage: Standard outlets. Like in your wall.
- Availability: Sometimes they don't work, ugh. Especially on older trains, seems.
- Overnight trains: Essential. Absolutely essential for surviving the trip. My lifeline.
- My eReader: Keeps me sane. It truly does.
Used to take the train more often. Back when Sarah... never mind.
It is what it is, i suppose.
