Does Live Location Work Without Internet?

Live location tracking is a feature that allows you to share your real-time location with others. This can be useful for a variety of purposes, such as staying connected with friends and family, finding your way around unfamiliar places, or tracking your progress during a workout.

Live location tracking typically relies on GPS (Global Positioning System) technology to determine your location. GPS uses signals from satellites to calculate your position, and it does not require an internet connection to function. This means that you can use live location tracking even in areas with poor or no internet access.

However, some live location tracking apps may require an internet connection to send your location data to others. For example, the Find my Friends app for iOS requires an internet connection to share your location with other Apple users.

If you are concerned about using live location tracking without an internet connection, you can check the app's settings to see if it requires an internet connection. You can also contact the app's developer to inquire about the app's requirements.

Overall, live location tracking is a useful feature that can be used even without an internet connection. However, it is important to be aware of the app's requirements before using it in areas with poor or no internet access.
