Grab Rides Without Credit Card?
Okay, like, how do I grab rides without a credit card? Seriously, sometimes my wallet is a mess, and I just want a stress-free trip.
Turns out you can pay with taps for rides, food, shops… who knew?
Okay, so, like, here's the lowdown (from what I gathered):
- Debit Cards: Link your debit card to the app. Obvious, right?
- Prepaid Cards: Use a prepaid card. Got one for my birthday once.
- Digital Wallets: Apple Pay, Google Pay...they work too.
- Gift Cards: Certain ride-sharing apps accept gift cards. Kinda neat.
- Cash: Some places still offer cash payment! Whoa.
My friend Sarah, remember her? She paid for an Uber in cash in Vegas, October 2022. Total shocker!
Actually, I think maybe I had a ride with Lyft using Google Pay, maybe. Not 100% sure. It was August, somewhere in California. Felt liberating, that's what I know.
But yeah, ditch the plastic sometimes, and ride on!
Does Grab accept cash in Vietnam?
No. Grab Vietnam: cashless.
2024 Update: Digital wallets reign supreme.
- Momo
- ZaloPay
- ViettelPay
Credit cards accepted by some drivers, rarely. Expect digital. Prepare accordingly. My experience: strictly app-based. Vietnam's Grab operates differently.
Does Grab accept cash in Vietnam?
No. Cash is not accepted. Grab Vietnam is cashless. 2023 update.
- Digital wallets only. Momo, ZaloPay, etc.
- Linked credit/debit cards. Essential.
- No physical currency. Policy.
Vietnam's Grab operates differently. Their system is fully digital. Expect this. Ignoring it will cause problems. Plan accordingly. You'll need a Vietnamese bank account or a readily accessible international digital payment method for transactions. It's a modern city, after all. Adapt.
