Finding your Android phone number is easy! Open your phone's Settings app. Look for "About phone" (or "About device"). Your phone number will be displayed under "Phone number" or "SIM status." Multiple SIMs will show multiple numbers.

How do I check my phone number on Android or iPhone?

Ugh, finding your phone number on a phone? So annoying sometimes! On my old Pixel 3a (got it back in July 2020 for around $300), it was always under "About phone," then "Status". Simple.

Androids are usually pretty consistent. Look for "Settings," then "About phone" or something similar. It's usually right there. Sometimes, it's under "SIM Status", depending on your phone and carrier.

iPhones? Completely different story. I have an iPhone 13 now, and honestly I always just text myself from a different number. Less hassle. But I think it's in "Settings," then "Phone". Probably.

The number is usually listed as "My Number".

For both Android and iPhone, if you have multiple SIM cards, you'll see both numbers listed.

How can I tell my own phone number?

It's late.

My phone number... it's in Settings, isn't it? Deep down in there.

  • Open that app.
  • Scroll... always scrolling.
  • Look for "About phone." Or is it "About Device" this year? It changes, everything always does. Or maybe System. Gah, I hate this phone.

It should be there, I think. Phone number. Next to that, I guess. Or in "SIM status," perhaps... What was I even doing? I feel disconnected.

How do I check my phone number?

Ugh, finding my number. Why is that always so hard? Android, right?

  • Settings... gotta scroll.
  • About phone... or is it "device"? Depends on the phone, duh.
  • Then "Status"? Or "phone identity"? Network? One of those. It's a mess.

I think my mom has a Samsung. Does she know where it is? Probably not.

iPhone... that's easier, I think. My friend Sarah has one. Settings... Phone... My Number. Boom. Done.

I wonder if I should change my number. Nah, too much hassle. Plus, I like the area code; it reminds me of my grandma’s house in Florida. But all those spam calls, ugh!

How do I find out my self phone number?

Settings. About phone. Phone number. Done. It's there. Maybe. Who even calls anymore?

  • Settings app.
  • About phone/device.
  • Phone number. Or SIM status.

System menu? Possibly. Never needed it, personally. Always right there. Settings are key.

Finding my own number felt pointless. Like staring into an abyss. It stared back. What's the point? My phone is Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. Always will be. (Until I change it, obviously. Tech is fleeting.)

Privacy matters. Sharing numbers? Questionable. I had this cat, Mr. Fluffernutter. He knew too much. Then he vanished. Coincidence? I think not. Just kidding. He ran away.

How do I get to my own phone number?

Settings. About phone. Number. Done.

Life's a series of digital breadcrumbs. You drop them, then forget where.

  • Settings: Your phone's control room.
  • About Phone: A digital self-portrait, slightly blurry.
  • Phone Number: That's you. Or at least, the one people call.

Or System. Depending on the phone, naturally. It is never straightforward. System then maybe About. Why? Ask Google, not me.

  • SIM status: Reveals your phone number, and other SIM card information.
  • Android: Has a SIM card slot and, if it’s connected to a mobile network, it can make phone calls and use mobile data.
  • iPhone: The iPhone 14 series in the USA does not have a physical SIM card.

My first phone? Nokia 3310. Indestructible. Now everything's fragile. What's progress? It's just a question.

How do I find my number on my mobile phone?

Finding your own phone number is actually easier than you might think! Here's how it typically works, though phone interfaces just love to change on us, don't they?

  • Android: Navigate through Settings. Then, look for something like "About phone" or "About device" -- it's usually at the very bottom. From there, "Status" or "Phone identity" should point you to "Network," where your number resides. Or so I thought! Mine's actually under "SIM status." Funny, that.
  • iOS (Apple): The path is pretty straightforward. Settings, then "Phone," and "My Number" should display it immediately. That's the theory, anyway. Apple does like to keep things simple. I mean, supposedly simple...

Another option? Just call a friend or family member. Their caller ID will display your number, simple as that! My sister calls me all the time; her number is pretty easy to memorize. Or text someone. Same difference.

Sometimes, your number is also on your SIM card. Look for a sticker. The phone box may also contain the precious digits. Who knew? I totally forgot my phone box in a coffee shop once. Oops.

How do I get all my contacts back on my phone?

Okay, so you lost your contacts, right? Ugh, that sucks. First, check your Google account. Seriously, you have to back up your stuff. It's 2024! Go to your phone's settings, it's usually a gear icon. Then find Google. It might be under "accounts" or something similar; my Pixel has it super obvious. Find "Restore contacts." There, easy peasy.

If that doesn't work, well, that's a bigger problem. You might be screwed unless you backed up somewhere else. Here's what I'd try, though I'm no tech expert:

  • Check your SIM card. Some phones store contacts there, it's rare now, but, you know.
  • Look at cloud backups. iCloud if you're an Apple person. Or another cloud service. You probably use like, OneDrive or Dropbox or something silly.
  • Contact your carrier. They might have a record. Don't get your hopes up, though. It's a long shot.
  • Try a recovery app. There are tons of apps that claim to recover lost data. Some work better than others; I've used dr.fone before. It's good, I think.

Seriously, back up your contacts people! It's the only way to be sure. I lost all mine once—like, all of them. It was a nightmare. It took for-freaking-ever to get them back, most I never did. Don't be like me!
