How to Unlink a Device from Your Apple ID

Your Apple ID is a key component of your Apple ecosystem, allowing you to access various services and features. However, there may come a time when you need to unlink a specific device from your account. Whether you’re selling an old device or simply want to remove it from your list, here’s a step-by-step guide on how to do it:

Step 1: Access Device Settings

Begin by opening the Settings app on your iOS device. Once in the Settings menu, tap on your name at the top of the screen.

Step 2: Navigate to Media & Purchases

Next, scroll down and tap on “Media & Purchases.” This option will open up a range of settings related to your Apple ID media consumption and purchases.

Step 3: Tap “View Account”

On the “Media & Purchases” page, tap on “View Account.” This will take you to your Apple ID account settings.

Step 4: Select “Remove This Device”

Once in your account settings, scroll down and find the section titled “Devices.” You will see a list of all the devices currently linked to your Apple ID. Locate the device you want to remove and tap on it.
