How do I remove saved credit card details from Chrome?
To remove saved credit card details in Chrome: Click the three dots (top right) > Settings > Autofill > Payment methods. Here, you can delete or edit saved cards. Disable Save and fill payment methods to prevent future saving.
Ugh, saved credit card info in Chrome – I hate that. You know, I once had a total freak-out when I thought someone had gotten into my account. Turns out it was just my old college roommate’s card still hanging out there from, like, five years ago! So yeah, cleaning that stuff up is super important.
Okay, so how do you actually do it? It’s not rocket science, but it’s also not super obvious, right?
First, you see those three little dots up in the top right corner of Chrome? Click those. Think of them as the magic portal to all things Chrome-y. Then, go to “Settings.” It’s usually pretty far down the list, I swear they hide it on purpose sometimes. Then you’ll find “Autofill,” and finally, “Payment methods.” I always get a little thrill of satisfaction finding it. Like, I just won a tiny victory against digital clutter.
There you’ll see all your saved cards. Honestly, the number sometimes shocks me. Who knew I’d ordered so much online? Maybe I need a spending intervention. Anyway, you can delete the ones you don’t need anymore – just click on the trash can icon or something similar, I forget exactly. And if you’re extra paranoid like me, and you just want to totally avoid this whole mess in the future, you can also disable “Save and fill payment methods.” Problem solved! Or at least, that’s the plan, anyway. I still sometimes accidentally click the “save” button out of habit… bad habit! Anyone else do that?
