Ugh, Outlook rules. Sometimes they're lifesavers, other times they're like, why is this happening?! So, you want to turn one off? I've been there, believe me. It's actually pretty simple, thankfully.

First, look for that little gear icon at the top. You know, the Settings? Click on it. Then you have to dig a little, go to Mail, then Rules. (Why is it always a few clicks deep? Seriously!)

You should see a list of all your rules. Find the pesky one you want to disable and just flip the switch next to its name to Off. That's it! No more unwanted sorting or moving or whatever madness it was causing.

I remember one time a rule I set up to filter emails from my mailing list started sending everything to a separate folder. Even important stuff! It was chaos. I felt so silly when I finally realized what happened. Thankfully, turning it off was just as easy as these steps. Hopefully, your rule-wrangling is less dramatic than mine was!
