Airline Bag Check-in: How Early?
Ugh, baggage check-in times, right? It's always a gamble. I once tried dropping my bag off 22 hours early for a flight from Heathrow on July 14th last year – total waste of time, the queue was insane.
My airline, British Airways, let me do it online though, so that was a plus. Saved maybe 15 minutes?
Usually, it's between four and two hours before, depending on the airline and airport. Always check their app or website – seriously.
Last time I flew Ryanair from Stansted (October 28th), it was a mad dash to make the two-hour cutoff; nearly missed it. Cost me £15 for extra baggage too, ouch!
Don't rely on super early check-in for speed, though. Peak times are chaos.
