How long can a SIM remain inactive?

Okay, so basically, my SIM could get deactivated if I just totally ignore it for 90 days – no calls, texts, nothing. Thats a little scary because I sometimes forget about old SIMs! But the good news is, if Ive got at least Rs 20 lying around in the account, theyll just take that and give me another 30 days to get my act together. Its like a little grace period! I guess its fair enough, but still kind of annoying to lose that money!

Ugh, SIM cards! It’s like they have a mind of their own, expiring when you least expect it. So, I found out that my SIM will go poof – deactivated – after 90 days of inactivity. Ninety days! Can you believe it? I mean, seriously, who keeps track of that? I have, like, three old SIM cards lying around somewhere… are they all dead now? I shudder to think. Lost to the sands of time…

Okay, so there’s a tiny bit of good news. If you have at least 20 rupees in your account, they’ll just gobble that up and give you another 30 days. Think of it like hitting the snooze button on SIM card oblivion. Which, honestly, is both helpful and slightly infuriating. It’s like, thanks… I guess? But also, that’s my 20 rupees! It reminds me of that time I forgot about a gift card and it expired. So annoying! Like, I had money, but now I don’t have money. It’s a cruel world out there for forgetful people like me. Anyway, moral of the story: don’t forget about your SIM card (or your gift cards, for that matter!).
