Dude, three days, minimum. Two days is a total rush job. You’ll barely scratch the surface, honestly. I went last year, in 2023, and even four days felt kinda tight. So much to do!

Seriously, you gotta prioritize. My trip looked like this:

• Day 1: Notre Dame, Central Post Office – those are a must-see. Then, Ben Thanh Market – it’s a crazy experience! Grab some street food too, sooo good. Dinner at a local spot, I forget the name, but it was amazing.

• Day 2: War Remnants Museum – heavy, but important. Then the Reunification Palace, kinda cool architecture. Evening? Rooftop bar, for sure. Amazing city views! That’s how I spent my time there anyways.

• Day 3: Cu Chi Tunnels – it’s a bit of a trip out of the city, but worth it. Seriously creepy, and fascinating. Then, maybe the Jade Emperor Pagoda. Or, you could do some shopping or just wander around. Depending on what you like.

• Day 4 (if you have it): Mekong Delta day trip! It was the highlight for me. Totally worth it, but a whole day affair. Beautiful scenery, floating markets… it was awesome. I took a really long boat trip down the river. Totally unforgettable.

Budget-wise, it’s pretty affordable. But you know, depending on how much you splurge on food and drinks, and if you do day trips like the Mekong Delta. That one was like 40 bucks, I think.

• Aircon a blessing. Saigon’s heat? Relentless.

Forget taxis. They are an option, but seriously? Too boring, unless you want to feel like another boring tourist. Public transport it is. Get lost; find something.

Which district is best to stay in Ho Chi Minh City?
