How long does it take for a Vietnam visa to get approved?

Vietnamese e-Visa Processing Times and Best Practices

Timeframe for Approval

Obtaining a Vietnamese e-visa is a streamlined process that generally takes four to seven business days from the time a completed application is submitted. However, this timeframe can vary depending on the following factors:

• Completeness of application: A complete application includes all required information and supporting documents. Incomplete applications may delay processing.
• Errors in application: Common errors such as incorrect passport details, missing or expired travel documents, or incorrect payment information can also cause delays.
• High volume of applications: During peak travel seasons or national holidays, processing times may increase due to the high volume of applications received.

Best Practices for Swift Approval

To ensure a successful and speedy visa application, it is crucial to follow these best practices:

• Verify passport eligibility: Check that your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your intended departure date from Vietnam.
• Provide clear and accurate information: Fill out the application form thoroughly and provide all required details, including your passport number, visa type, travel dates, and purpose of visit.
• Attach necessary documents: Include a scanned copy of your passport's main page and a recent passport-style photograph.
• Review and double-check: Carefully review your application before submission to avoid any errors.
• Pay application fee promptly: Submit the required application fee through the designated payment gateway.
• Monitor application status: Check the official website or contact the Vietnamese Embassy or Consulate to track the status of your application.

By adhering to these guidelines, you can significantly increase the chances of your Vietnamese e-visa being approved quickly and without any hassle. Remember that timely and accurate preparation is key to a smooth and successful visa application process.
