How long of an international layover do you need?
How long is a sufficient international layover time? Advice?
Ugh, international layovers? So stressful. Two to three hours? Bare minimum, I'd say. My flight from Heathrow to JFK on July 12th last year proved that.
Scrambled to make my connection, barely. Luggage? Never mind the extra twenty minutes to fetch that. Sweaty palms, the whole nine yards. Cost me a fortune in a rushed airport sandwich too.
Three hours is better, definitely. Gives you a buffer. Plenty of breathing room, you know? Gives you a chance to grab a coffee, even if it's overpriced airport coffee.
My advice? Four hours. At least. This is for peace of mind. Trust me on this one. Less rushing, more relaxation, and actually being able to enjoy a tiny bit of the airport experience.
