How long should you spend in Tivoli? Gosh, that's a tough one! A day trip from Rome? Honestly, I think that's criminal! I mean, you'll be running around like a chicken with its head cut off, snapping a few photos, and then – poof – back on the train before you've even had a chance to breathe in the air, you know? Remember that time I tried to do it in a day? Total disaster. I felt like I was just ticking off boxes instead of experiencing anything. It was such a rush!

Staying overnight? Totally worth it. Absolutely. Picture this: sunset painting the sky in those gorgeous Italian hues, the air warm and smelling of lemon trees, maybe even a glass of wine in hand as you wander the quieter streets… it’s magical, I tell you. You get a completely different feel for the place when you’re not constantly checking your watch. I stayed at this little family-run hotel last year – so charming! Plus, having that extra time means you can explore those hidden corners, the little shops selling handmade ceramics... stuff you'd just miss if you're whizzing through.
