How long to stay in Halong?
How many days should I spend in Halong Bay? Trip length?
Okay, so Ha Long Bay, right? Two days is what I'd suggest MINIMUM. That place is crazy beautiful.
Honestly, two days barely scratches the surface. I went for three, and I still felt rushed!
Ha Long Bay should be explored for at least two days to experience its natural beauty, caves, and cultural immersion.
The thing is, getting there eats up time. I travelled from Hanoi (cost me, like, $20 for a bus, 3 hours each way!).
I booked a boat tour in advance (around $150, if I recall correct). It included meals and kayaking. Totally worth it.
Plus, you gotta factor in chilling time! Sipping a drink, watching the sunset over those limestone karsts… priceless. The karsts are really beautiful, you know?
One day just wouldn't cut it, you'd miss so much. Trust me, give yourself two. Three, if you can swing it. I almost regret not going more.
