How many litres of water should I drink per day?
Honestly, the recommended 2 liters for women and 2.6 for men feels a bit arbitrary to me. I find I need to listen to my body; sometimes I crave more water, especially if Ive been sweating or exercising. Pregnancy and breastfeeding definitely crank up the thirst, I know from experience! But ultimately, its about feeling good – if youre consistently thirsty, drink more! Dont get hung up on exact numbers.
How much water should I drink a day? Ugh, that whole “8 glasses a day” thing, or 2 liters for women and 2.6 for men? It feels so…random, doesn’t it? Like, who came up with that exact number? I swear, sometimes I feel like I could drink a gallon after a hot yoga class, you know? Other times, I’m just not that thirsty. I remember when I was pregnant with my second, I was constantly thirsty. Like, seriously, I think I lived at the water cooler. Breastfeeding too – talk about thirst! So yeah, I really think it depends. Listen to your body! If you’re feeling thirsty, drink! Don’t overthink it. It’s not like there’s some magic water-measuring fairy judging us, right? Just drink when you need to. If you’re feeling good, and your pee isn’t super dark yellow (sorry, TMI!), you’re probably doing okay. ????
