How much can you fit in a carry-on bag?

Ugh, figuring out carry-on size is always a pain! Its usually around 22 x 14 x 9 inches, which never feels like enough. Thank goodness most airlines within the US dont weigh them anymore! I always try to cram as much as I can in there, plus my purse, so I can avoid checked baggage fees. Who wants to wait at baggage claim anyway? Its such a time suck.

Okay, so, how much can you really cram into a carry-on? It’s like a never-ending puzzle, isn’t it? You see those dimensions, something like 22 x 14 x 9 inches, and think, “Seriously? That’s ALL?” I mean, where’s a girl supposed to put her shoes? And what about that extra sweater? It could get cold, right?

It’s a good thing, though, a really good thing, that most airlines here in the States don’t weigh them anymore. Remember those days? Stressful! I used to practically sit on my suitcase trying to zip it closed. Now, it’s all about the Tetris skills. I jam-pack that thing until it’s practically bursting at the seams, plus my purse, of course (because, let’s be honest, a purse is an extension of myself). Anything to avoid those pesky checked bag fees, am I right? Who has that kind of extra cash lying around? Not me!

Plus, who wants to waste precious vacation time standing around at baggage claim like a lost puppy? Seriously, talk about a time suck! Remember that time we flew back from Florida and waited, like, forever for our bags? Ugh, never again. So yeah, carry-on life is the way to go, even if it means wearing half your wardrobe on the plane. You know what I mean?
