Ugh, Hanoi taxi fares, right? Let me tell you, it's a total crapshoot.
Last time, June 12th, I landed at Noi Bai and a taxi to my hotel near Hoan Kiem Lake cost me 650,000 VND. That's about $27. Ouch.
Metered taxis should be cheaper, 12,000-15,000 VND per kilometer. But...airport taxis? Sneaky.
The distance is roughly 30km, so it should be around 360,000-450,000VND. But scams abound.
Always negotiate beforehand, or use Grab. That's my hard-learned lesson. Next time, Grab. Definitely Grab.
