How to calculate profit on spot trading?

Okay, so figuring out if I actually made money on a spot trade? Its pretty straightforward, thankfully. I usually take the price I sold at (my closing price) and subtract what I originally bought it for (my opening price). That difference, whether its positive or sadly negative, gets multiplied by the number of coins I traded. Honestly, seeing that number in the green makes my day; red? Well, thats a learning experience, I guess!

Okay, so how do I figure out if I actually made money on a spot trade? It’s pretty simple, thankfully. I mean, it’s not rocket science, right? Basically, I take the price I sold at (you know, the closing price) and subtract what I paid for it in the beginning (the opening price). That difference – sometimes it’s positive, sometimes… not so much – gets multiplied by the number of coins I traded. Easy peasy. Honestly, seeing that final number in the green is such a rush! It totally makes my day. Like, last week I made a little profit on some Ethereum, and I was practically skipping. Red? Ugh. Not so fun. But hey, at least it’s a learning experience, right? Remember that time I panicked and sold my Dogecoin way too early? Ouch. Still stings a bit. But you live and learn, I guess. So yeah, selling price minus buying price, times the number of coins… that’s the magic formula.
