How to Obtain a Refund from Grab Wallet

For Grab Merchants

To initiate a refund for processed transactions, merchants using the GrabMerchant App or Portal can follow these steps:

  • Within the GrabMerchant App:

    • Navigate to “Transactions”.
    • Select the transaction for which you wish to issue a refund.
    • Tap on “Refund”.
    • Enter the refund amount and reason.
    • Submit the refund request.
  • Within the GrabMerchant Portal:

    • Log into the portal at merchant.grab.com.
    • Select “Transactions”.
    • Find the transaction you wish to refund.
    • Click on the “Refund” button.
    • Enter the refund amount and reason.
    • Submit the refund request.

Eligibility for Refunds

Refunds are not available for all payments made through GrabPay. Qualifying payments that may be eligible for refunds include:

  • Payments made in error
  • Payments for canceled or unfulfilled orders
  • Payments for items that did not meet the customer’s expectations

Timeline and Process

Upon submitting a refund request, the status of the transaction will change to “Refund Processed”. The funds will be returned to the customer’s GrabPay wallet within 7 to 14 business days.

Note:

  • Refunds can only be processed for transactions that have been processed successfully.
  • Refunds are not available for transactions that have been voided or already refunded.
  • Grab reserves the right to decline refund requests if they do not meet the eligibility criteria.
