How to reset gut after overeating?
Okay, so after a massive overeating session, I always feel so sluggish and guilty! Honestly, the best thing Ive found is forcing myself to move. A brisk walk or even some dancing just seems to kickstart everything. Its like my body is saying, Okay, lets get this show on the road! Plus, that little burst of endorphins definitely helps me feel less terrible about the whole thing and more motivated to get back on track.
Ugh, overeating. We’ve all been there, right? That feeling of absolute blah after you’ve just devoured, well, everything. I swear, sometimes I feel like a beached whale. So, what’s a person to do? Lie there and wallow in self-pity? Tempting, I know. But honestly, the absolute BEST thing I’ve found – and believe me, I’ve tried a few – is to just move.
It doesn’t have to be anything crazy. I’m not talking marathon training here. A quick walk around the block, maybe? Or even just putting on some music and having a silly dance party in my living room. Seriously! Remember that time I ate an entire pizza by myself (don’t judge!) and then ended up doing the Macarena for like, twenty minutes? I felt so much better afterward! It’s like my digestive system just needed a little… encouragement. A nudge in the right direction. You know?
It’s weird, but even just a little bit of movement seems to wake everything up. “Okay,” my body seems to say, “let’s get this party started… the digestion party, that is!” Plus, – and this is a big one – that little hit of endorphins? It works wonders. It’s like a magic reset button for my mood. Suddenly, I don’t feel quite so awful about that extra slice (or three) of cake. It makes it easier to think, “Okay, tomorrow’s a new day. I can get back on track.” It’s all about progress, not perfection, am I right?
