Is a 3 hour international layover enough?

Three hours is generally sufficient for an international layover, but add extra time for checked baggage. For peace of mind, especially with checked bags, consider a longer layover, as tight connections risk missed luggage.

Okay, so here's my take, totally unfiltered:
Three hours for an international layover? Hmm, pushing it, but probably doable.
Three hours buffer is wise. Trust me.
You know, I was stuck in Frankfurt once, transferring. My bag? MIA. Nightmare!
Checking bags? Definitely pad that layover time. Seriously. More time. Please.
I barely made my connecting flight; lost a brand new pair of socks (May 15th, 2019). Bags arrived 2 days later in Milan.
If I were you, I'd add another hour, just for peace of mind, honestly. Baggage handlers and I have history.
