Is Ho Chi Minh City Safe to Visit at Night?

Honestly, Ho Chi Minh City at night? It's a mixed bag. I was there last December, and mostly felt okay. But, you know, always gotta be on guard.

Stick to busy streets. Avoid dark alleys. Simple. I remember one night, near Ben Thanh Market, felt totally fine. Crowds everywhere.

But another time, further out, near District 5, I felt a bit uneasy walking alone after 10 pm. Definitely less people, streets darker.

So, yes, generally safe, but common sense helps. Just be aware of your surroundings. That's my advice from experience. Don't walk around alone in quiet areas at night.

Safer areas include District 1 (center). Avoid less populated areas, especially late at night.
