Is it cheap to travel around Vietnam?
Is Vietnam Budget Travel Affordable?
Okay, so Vietnam. Budget travel? Totally doable. I went in June 2022, spent about $50 a day, easy. Food was cheap, like, ridiculously cheap – amazing street food, pho for a dollar.
Accommodation varied. Hostels were cheap, obviously, but even nicer guesthouses were reasonable. I splurged sometimes, treat myself, you know?
Transportation? Crazy affordable. Buses everywhere, super cheap. Even the trains were fine, price wise. Internal flights can be pricier but it's worth it for long distances to save time.
Basically, Vietnam's a steal. Compared to other SE Asian countries, it wins hands down on value. You can totally travel on a shoestring. It's awesome.
