Hanoi taxis? Piece of cake, mostly. Old Quarter? Taxis galore, except Saturday and Sunday nights. Walking streets close then, you know?
Finding one outside those areas? No problem. Even on weekend evenings, just a short stroll from the pedestrian zone and bam, taxi. Like, seriously easy.
Remember last October, my trip? Stayed near Hoan Kiem Lake. Snagged a taxi to the airport – 300,000 VND, around $13 USD. No issues whatsoever.
Honestly, it felt simpler than hailing a cab in NYC, which is saying something. Less aggressive drivers, too. Much more chill vibe overall. Except maybe the honking. That's pretty universal in Asia, right?
In short: Taxis are readily available in Hanoi, except in the Old Quarter during weekend evening walking street closures.
How much does Grab cost from Hanoi to Halong Bay?
It's late. The city's quiet, except for…something. A distant siren, maybe. Or is it just in my head? This Grab thing…I looked it up. Hanoi to Halong Bay. Man.
It's pricey. Really pricey. 800,000 VND to 2,500,000 VND. That's a huge range. Depends on the car, I suppose. More luxury, more money. Makes sense.
I'm thinking of that trip next year. But this cost... It’s a lot, especially if you’re traveling solo, like me. The bus is cheap, yeah, but it takes forever. A private car sounds nice… but this price? Ouch.
The seaplane’s insane. 8,000,000 VND. That's ridiculous. Ridiculous. Way out of my price range, obviously.
