No pass? No go. Simple as that. Won't let you on. Nowhere.

Okay, so, checking in online for a flight? Uh, yeah, dude, totally worth it. Listen up!

You save so much time. No waiting in those crazy long lines at the airport, you know? And, like, nobody likes that.

Plus! Seat selection. You get to pick your seat early, which is awesome. Especially if you want a window seat to sleep, or an aisle seat to get up easy for bathroom brakes, heh. I'm always picking an aisle seat, for sure.

It's just way more convenient, too. All your documents are on your phone. No more rummaging in my backpack for that dang boarding pass I know I printed, haha. My grandma still prints her.

Oh, and sometimes you get perks, too, I swear. I think I got, once, free WiFi just for checking in early, but it coulda been another reason. And sometimes, like, even if the flight's overbooked, those who checked in online have priority.

Okay, so yeah, you CAN check in at the airport. Happened to me just last month, July 2024. Flying outta JFK.

I swear I thought my flight was later. Total panic mode.

Forget online check-in, no time. Straight to the airport.

Saw this self-check-in thingy. A kiosk, right there near the American Airlines counters.

Used my booking reference number. That worked a treat!

Needed my passport later. At the gate, yeah. Woman checked it before boarding.

Here's what you need, basically:

• Confirmation number: That email they send after you book is a lifesaver. Screenshot it!
• Passport: Don't forget this like I almost did.

It was stressful but I made it. Never again.
