Ugh, last summer, 2024, total disaster. I was going to see my sister in Chicago. Had a confirmed ticket from Champaign, my usual.

But, then, BAM! Work thing came up in Springfield. Springfield is closer, obviously.

Tried to change the boarding point online. NOPE. Site wouldn’t let me. Couldn't change it online.

It was like, 20 hours before. Panic set in! My train was at 8 AM! I was at home at 2 PM.

Finally, someone picks up. Bless her soul. Explained my whole Springfield dilemma.

She said: "Ma'am, you can change it, but you need to do it way before 24 hours."

DOH! I missed the deadline. Apparently it's a rule to prevent ticket scalping or something. So frustrating!

Had to drive back to Champaign anyway. Missed the frickin' work meeting. My luck!
