Is it safe to charge Iphone with 33W charger?

So, is it okay to use a 33W charger with my iPhone? I was wondering the same thing, honestly! I mean, my old charger kicked the bucket, and the 33W one was just sitting there, looking all sleek and powerful. Seemed a bit overkill, you know? Like giving a goldfish a jacuzzi.

But yeah, it turns out it's totally fine. I did a little digging – okay, mostly I asked my super techy brother – and apparently, your iPhone's pretty smart about this stuff. It only takes what it needs. Think of it like this: you could offer someone a whole buffet, but they'll only eat what they're hungry for, right? Same deal with the phone. Even though the charger could pump out 33W, the phone will only draw around 18W – that's its sweet spot, I guess. It's the phone that controls the power intake, not the charger forcing it in.
