Is it safe to use your debit card everywhere?
Is it safe to use your debit card everywhere? Ugh, no way. I'm so paranoid about it, honestly. It just doesn't feel as safe as a credit card, you know? Like, yeah, it's convenient and all, being able to just poof spend money straight from your account. But that convenience? It comes at a price. A big, scary price. What if someone steals your info? Then they have direct access to your actual money!
I only use my debit card at places I really, really trust. Think my regular grocery store, the pharmacy, places like that. Shady gas stations? Nope. Random online shops I've never heard of? Double nope. Are you kidding me? No way, José.
And I'm constantly checking my bank balance, like, obsessively. Maybe it's a little much, but seriously...better safe than sorry, right? I remember this one time, a friend of mine had her debit card info stolen. It was a nightmare! Took her weeks to sort it all out, and she was so stressed. I don't ever want to go through that. The thought of someone just draining my account…all that hard-earned cash… gone? Shudders. It's terrifying. Just thinking about it makes me want to check my balance again. Brbb.
