• Luxury Hotels: Again, Phuket. You have all those fancy chain hotels and resorts everywhere. Sure Krabi has some, but, eh... less, not as good.

My friend went to Krabi last year, said the beach was amazing though. So there it is. Personally? Depends on the mood!

My personal preference leans toward the quieter areas, away from the Ao Nang hubbub. More secluded beaches exist; find them. You'll be rewarded. That’s where the magic happens. Which month is good for Krabi?

Ugh, Krabi. November to March, definitely. Best weather, right? Sunshine, beaches... My trip last year was amazing, though expensive. So much for budget travel!

Wait, wet season? Yeah, heard it's cheaper then. But rain… all the time? My friend went in June. Said it poured. Non-stop. Seriously. Ruined her tan.

When not to go to Krabi?

Ugh, Krabi in May. It was suffocating. Seriously, the humidity. I remember sweating through two shirts in an hour just walking to the beach. My wife, Sarah, she was miserable. We were there from May 12th to the 20th, 2024. The rain, it wasn't torrential, just enough to make everything damp and heavy. The air felt thick, like breathing through a wet towel.
