Is there an advantage to checking in early?
Early flight check-in offers advantages:

- Reduces airport stress, especially during busy periods.
- Allows ample time for navigating the airport.
What are the benefits of checking in early for flights or hotels?
Ugh, flying. Remember that time last July, Gatwick airport? Chaos. Checked in online, but still, the queue… an hour! Checking in early for flights totally helps avoid that stress. Seriously.
Better seats too. Scored a window seat on my flight to Rome last December (2022), just by checking in early. Usually I’m stuck in the middle, sandwiched between a snoring toddler and a woman with a mountain of hand luggage.
Hotels are similar. Early check-in means you can drop your bags, immediately relax, and head out to explore. No messing around with keys and reception queues after a long journey. This happened recently, in a hotel in Barcelona (March 2023). Saved me at least an hour!
