Is there an app to check WiFi signal strength?
Is there an app to check WiFi signal strength? Duh, tons! I've messed around with NetSpot, and it's seriously cool for, like, seeing your WiFi. You know? Like a heatmap, showing you exactly where the signal goes weak. Super helpful when I was trying to figure out why my bedroom had such crappy WiFi. Turns out, the signal was getting blocked by, of all things, a giant metal filing cabinet! Who knew?
WiFi Analyzer is okay, I guess, if you're stuck on a Windows machine. But honestly? It's pretty basic. Doesn't give you nearly as much detail. Then there's Wireshark… whoa. Way overkill unless you’re, like, some kind of network engineer and actually want to see every single little packet flying around. I mean, who has time for that?! If you just want a simple "is my WiFi good or bad?" kinda thing, there are definitely easier ways to go about it. Loads of apps on your phone even do it now, right?
