Is Grab Ride available 24 hours?

Ugh, Grab 24/7? Yeah, kinda.

Last August, around 2 AM, trying to get back from a terrible karaoke night at "Melody's" near Clarke Quay. What a disaster.

No buses, naturally.

Grab was the only hope. Tried booking. Nada.

Kept getting the "no cars available" screen. Felt so stranded.

Took, like, 40 minutes of refreshing before a ride popped up. The driver, bless him, was super grumpy. I don't blame him.

• Availability depends on location and time. City areas are generally better.
• "Peak hours" are a nightmare for finding a ride. Think Friday/Saturday nights.
• Pre-booking is possible, supposedly. Never tried it.
• Consider alternative options, like taxis or Gojek, esp. late at night.
• Download all the apps just in case. Seriously.
• Be prepared to wait... a long time.
• Check the fares, because sometimes it’s crazy expensive when it's late.
• Always check driver rating before hopping in. My rule.
• If you're in a sketchy area, maybe wait inside a building until the driver arrives. Safe is better.
• And tip well. I felt so bad that night I gave the driver a twenty.

Honestly, it's more like Grab tries to be 24/7. But it's not guaranteed. It's not a perfect system, that’s for sure.
