Should you eat before a run in the morning?

Honestly, whether I eat before a morning run depends entirely on how I feel. If Im starving, a small banana or some toast half an hour beforehand is a lifesaver – prevents that awful mid-run bonk! But if Im not hungry, I skip it. Forcing food down when my stomachs empty just makes me feel sluggish and nauseous. Its all about listening to your body, right?

Should you eat before a morning run? Ugh, that’s such a personal thing, isn’t it? I mean, for me, it totally depends on the day. Some mornings I wake up ravenous – like, I could eat a horse! On those days, I need something before I head out. Usually a banana, maybe some toast with a tiny bit of peanut butter… just enough to take the edge off. Otherwise, I’m toast (pun intended! Okay, bad joke). Remember that time I tried running without eating anything after a late night out? Disaster! Total bonk about two miles in. Never again. But then there are mornings where the thought of food makes my stomach churn. You know those days, right? Like, even the smell of coffee is too much. On those days, I just grab some water and go. Forcing food down when I already feel bleh? No thanks! That just leads to feeling sluggish and, honestly, sometimes a little nauseous. So yeah, no hard and fast rules for me. It’s all about listening to your body, figuring out what works for you. What about you? What’s your pre-run routine?
