What happens if we miss a flight?

Ugh, missing a flight? Seriously, is there anything worse? My stomach drops just thinking about it. Remember that time I missed my flight to Cancun? Total nightmare. I was stuck in Atlanta for like, forever. Anyway, it really all depends on the airline. I mean, some are amazing, right? They'll just put you on the next flight, no big deal, sometimes even without charging you an arm and a leg. But then there are the others… the ones that basically hold you hostage.

So, first thing’s first, call them. Immediately. Explain what happened, lay on the charm (maybe a little fake crying never hurts?), and basically just beg. "Pretty please, with a cherry on top, can you help me out?" Something like that. You're hoping for a little mercy, a little understanding, and definitely hoping they don’t charge you a million dollars for the next flight. Because, seriously, who can afford that? Last time I had to pay a change fee it was like… I don't even want to talk about it. Let's just say, I ate ramen for a week. Keep your fingers crossed it all works out okay!
