Ugh, it happened last year. July 2023!

My flight from Denver to Chicago got delayed. Seriously, thunderstorms out of nowhere. Missed my connection to Frankfurt. I was so stressed.

But get this, I didn’t actually believe them. I had visions of my clothes ending up in Timbuktu.

Frankfurt was supposed to happen. Big family trip. Now I’m stuck.

Guess what? My luggage did arrive on the next flight to Frankfurt. Amazing, right?

• Additional stress: Getting myself on that next flight. That was a nightmare on its own! I almost missed my whole family trip anyway. I hate flying, seriously.

I’d be so screwed without my clothes for the trip.
